Latest update on Chiefs players in Pro Bowl Games fan voting
The NFL has released its second update on Pro Bowl Games fan voting.
While Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is still one of the NFL’s top 5 players in Pro Bowl Games fan voting, he’s no longer the AFC’s leader in votes or the AFC’s leader at the quarterback position. Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (138,390) has a slight lead over Mahomes (133,607) for the top spot in the AFC and at the quarterback position.
Travis Kelce (131,378) remains in fifth place in fan-voting and a total of five Chiefs players currently lead the AFC conference at their respective position groups. That includes Kelce, C Creed Humphrey (54,157), DT Chris Jones (92,849) and KR Isiah Pacheco (58,884), who all were leaders in the AFC conference as of the first fan-voting update. One new Chiefs player has surged up the leaderboards, with LB Nick Bolton (68,472) now the AFC leader over Baltimore Ravens LB Roquan Smith.
Keep in mind that Humphrey was the leader for the AFC at the center position when fan voting concluded in 2021, yet he was snubbed of Pro Bowl selection. Fan voting is important, but it only counts for a third of the Pro Bowl selection process, with player and coach voting counting toward the other two-thirds of the vote.
Fans are now able to vote directly on Twitter through Dec. 15 by tweeting the first and last name of the player, tagging the player’s official Twitter handle or creating a hashtag including the player’s first and last name. All of the above methods must include the hashtag: #ProBowlVote.
