Las Cruces restaurant upgraded after re-inspection
UPDATE: On Oct. 28, the New Mexico Environment Department upgraded India Hut ,1605 S. Solano to “Approved” status after NMED re-inspected the facility and found that violations had been corrected.LAS CRUCES - The New Mexico Environment Department downgraded a Las Cruces restaurant following a compliance inspection on Friday.
The department stated in a news release that India Hut, 1605 S. Solano Drive, was downgraded from “approved” to “unsatisfactory” status because of violations found during the inspection, including
Inadequate cooking/cooling
Improper holding temperatures
Contaminated equipment
Poor personal hygiene
Improper storage of food, utensils, chemicals
A copy of the inspection report may be obtained in accordance with the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act by contacting the NMED Las Cruces Field Office at 575-288-2050.
NMED stated it will reinspect India Hut following corrective measures taken by the business and at the facility’s request. The “unsatisfactory” grade emblem is posted at each entrance of the facility.
