LAFC re-signs veteran D Jordan Harvey

Southern California native Jordan Harvey will extend his run with Los Angeles FC after the defender re-signed with the club Wednesday.

No terms of the deal were announced.

Harvey has played for LAFC since the team's inaugural season in 2018, seeing time in 70 regular-season MLS games for the club and three playoff games. He has one goal and seven assists during his LAFC tenure.

"Jordan has been an integral part of our Club since joining us ahead of our inaugural campaign in 2018," co-president and general manager John Thorrington said in a release. "Not only has he brought a wealth of experience and leadership to the locker room, but he has also served as a fantastic ambassador in our community."

Harvey, from Mission Viejo, Calif. and who turns 37 on Thursday, has played 15 seasons in MLS starting in 2006 with the Colorado Rapids. He has also spent time with the Philadelphia Union and Vancouver Whitecaps and ranks 15th all-time in MLS history with 28,211 minutes played.

In 340 career MLS regular-season games (315 starts), Harvey has 12 goals and 22 assists. He has also played in seven career MLS playoff games.
