Kylie Minogue has revealed she plans to party at Glastonbury - despite being due to perform on Sunday evening.

The On A Night Like This singer will take to the Pyramid Stage at 6pm on Sunday in what has been dubbed ‘The Legend Slot’ 14 years after she was forced to pullout of headlining the music festival because she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Minogue, 51, told The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2: “I mean this is a weekend that’s – I’m just going to have to try and contain myself, that’s for sure. I could just combust. It’ll be like a little glitter explosion – that’ll be me, somewhere.”

Ball said: “That’s the thing with playing Sunday afternoon is that you just can't really be let loose on the festival before.”

Minogue replied: “I may let loose afterwards – trust me!”

Last year Minogue was joined on stage in Hyde Park by her former Neighbours co-star Jason Donavon for a special rendition of their hit duet Especially For You.

Asked about surprise guests at Glastonbury this weekend she teased: “There may be a couple of surprises. I’ll just leave that with you.”

The Can’t Get You Out Of My Head singer has just released a new greatest hits album Step Back In Time, featuring 31 years of her musical career.

Discussing her set list for Glastonbury, Minogue revealed: “What we decided to do was start with a bang. I mean, normally with a two hour show, you can kind of ease people in and go on a bit of an up and down journey.

“I don't want to give too much away but you know, it’s a party, it’s time to sing along so we’re going to start with that. There’s going to be a little emotional section and then we're just going to go nuts at the end.”

The Loco-Motion singer admitted performing at Glastonbury, given her history with the festival, is going to be very emotional.

She said: “All I can do is hyperventilate. That's my answer. What an honour, what an absolute honour to be asked to do this and to share it with so many people. My tiny little mind is going to be absolutely blown. I have no doubt about it.”
