Mitchell Robinson left Sunday afternoon's game against the Los Angeles Clippers with an apparent ankle injury and didn't return.
The injury occurred early in the third quarter when the 23-year-old appeared to step on Luke Kennard's foot. Robinson was visibly hurt and hobbled to the locker room.
The injury comes the same day that Nerlens Noel, the Knicks' second-unit center, returned from his own ailment.
Robinson was having the best stretch of the season, being more energetic on the boards and more involved in the offense. Before he left Sunday's game, he had eight points, eight rebounds and two assists.
After the game, Robinson took to Twitter to say let his followers know that he's feeling good. "I'm all good just a little tweak," Robinson wrote.
Whether Robinson plays Monday at Cleveland is up in the air, but the quick turnaround may make Thibodeau be cautious with his starting center.
