Kirk Cousins leads Vikings to win over former team
The Minnesota Vikings battled to a 19-9 win over the Washington Redskins on Thursday Night Football.
In a game that was dominated by field goals, the Vikings moved to 6-2 record, leaving an awful Washington stuck with just the one win this season.
Dalvin Cook made 171 yards from scrimmage, while Stefon Diggs caught every one of his seven targets to end the night with 143 yards.

Much was made of the fact that Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins was up against the team that didn’t commit to him longterm, and the former Redskin finished with 23 of 26 for 285 yards and a 112.3 passer rating performance.
Meanwhile, things went from bad to worse for Washington, who lost Case Keenum to concussion midway through the game. Rookie Dwane Haskins came in at quarterback but failed to trouble the Vikings defense with his offense scoring just three points in the second half.

Redskins running back Adrian Peterson did move to sixth on the all-time rushing yards list against his former team. A 29-yard run in the third quarter took him beyond LaDainian Tomlinson (13,684 yards), and he ended with game with 76 yards for the night and 13,701 in his career.
The Vikings remain second in the NFC North, behind the Packers, while the Redskins remain rock bottom of the NFC East.
