Kim Cattrall says loss has taught her a lot after brother's death
Kim Cattrall has said she has learned how precious time is and to appreciate her loved ones after the death of her brother.
The Sex And The City star’s “one of a kind” brother Christopher Cattrall died last year.
He had been missing for days, and news of his death came just hours after the actress asked her fans to help spread the word and find him.
Cattrall later confirmed he had taken his own life.

According to People, Cattrall opened up about losing her sibling while promoting her show Filthy Rich at Fox’s Television Critics Association panel.
“I think recently the thing that has taught me the most is loss,” said the 62-year-old.
“I’ve lost two family members and I think what it teaches me, I’m not there yet, but to really enjoy what you do, your family, your friends, to really appreciate…when I say goodbye to somebody I’m not going to see for a while.”
She continued: “The thought is now I might not see them again or for a couple months but I want to keep those connections.
“I feel I value them much more, they take up more of how I want to spend my time because I realise how precious it is.”
Cattrall posted a message on Instagram in February 2018, saying that her brother had been missing from his home in Canada for several days.
She urged fans to “help us bring him home safe”.

Soon afterwards she posted another message saying that her brother had died.
She told the Daily Mail earlier this year that her brother had taken his life and that she would “never be the same”.
“No one can prepare you,” she said.
“He was suffering from depression but depression is a curious thing and it can be impossible to detect if someone does not want you to know.
‘And so, I didn’t know. We didn’t know.
“And when you lose someone to suicide there is always the question, ‘If I could only have, if I did only, if I was only…’ and it haunts you.”
Cattrall lost her father in 2012.
