Kilgore Color Run, Vintage Market events set Saturday
May 5—Downtown Kilgore will be buzzing with activity on Saturday, as several events and shopping festivals are planned.
Color Run
The Kilgore Color Run, a 5K and fun run, will take place from 8 to 10 a.m., with runners being doused from head to toe in different colored powders at each kilometer mark.

Organizers with Sip & Shop Texas, Reel East Texas Film Festival, E Teacher, Kilgore College Rangers Esports and more are also planning a Second Saturday Shopping Festival inside the Texan Theater from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with food trucks, craft beer and wine on-site. Live music is planned from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Theater will play host to a jumbo screen Mario Kart tournament after the color run event. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis online by searching for "Reel East Texas MK8 Deluxe" on challonge.com.
Vintage Market
Vendors from all over East Texas and Louisiana will also gather in downtown Kilgore on Saturday for the Vintage Market & Craft/Artisan Fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Shoppers will find "vintage, antique, boutiques, wood crafters, direct sales, candles, soaps, wreaths, and so much homemade goodness you can't imagine!"
Boonies, Charlie's Sno-Balls and Edgar's Taco Shop will have food trucks set up at the market.
