Kentucky's Jack Harlow, Chris Stapleton, Carly Pearce nominated for Grammy Awards

Continuing a remarkable year-to-date, Louisville's hip-hop artist Jack Harlow has earned three Grammy Award nominations. Also making the list of Kentucky nominees for this year's awards show is country music megastar Chris Stapleton and snagging her first Grammy nomination, country music star Carly Pearce.
The 65th Grammy Awards will be held Sunday, Feb. 5. Pearce was nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, for her “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” duet with Ashley McBryde. She posted her reaction to the nomination Tuesday on Twitter, saying "My first Grammy nomination?!" Wow. Wow. Wow. Thank you @RecordingAcad for this moment I'll never forget."
In the Best Country Song category, Staffordsville, Kentucky native Chris Stapleton has been nominated for his work on "I'll Love You Till The Day I Die," which he co-wrote with Rodney Crowell. "I'll Love You Till The Day I Die" is performed by Willie Nelson.

Harlow, a graduate of Atherton High School, thanked his fans via Twitter, for their support and his three Grammy nominations for Best Rap Song, "Churchill Downs Feat.Drake," Best Rap Album, "Come Home the Kids Miss You" and Best Melodic Rap Performance "First Class."

This year, the 24-year-old rapper who recently returned from a world tour, hosted and performed on Saturday Night Live, shot his first movie, "White Men Can't Jump," graced the cover of GQ Magazine and saw his single from his sophomore album, "First Class," become the first hip-hop song to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2022. Also this year, Harlow announced he'll be headed back to Louisville for a hometown concert at the KFC Yum Center on Dec. 18.

The 2023 Grammy Awards will be held at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, Feb. 5, and will broadcast live on the CBS Television Network and stream live and on-demand on Paramount+ at 8-11:30 p.m.
