Kelvin Fletcher has got Strictly Come Dancing viewers hot under the collar once again with a Rumba that was labelled “filth”.

The ex-Emmerdale star and his partner Oti Mabuse are becoming known for their steamy numbers on the dancefloor, but cast aside last week’s cheery Charleston for another snake-hipped routine that left some of the judges red faced.

Craig Revel Horwood told Fletcher: “You are obviously in touch with yourself, it oozed masculinity.

“It was filth.”

Oti’s elder sister Motsi is on the judging panel this year, and admitted she found some of their routines a little difficult to watch, they were so authentic.

She said: “I don’t know, Kevin, I’m like, that’s my sister.”

Head judge Shirley Ballas, who has long declared herself a huge fan of Fletcher’s, fanned herself as she added: “You sent my temperature through the roof, I’ve never seen a man Rumba like that.”

The judges weren’t the only ones with eyes glued to Fletcher’s hips, as viewers lavished praise on him too - including some celebrity fans.

But Fletcher and Mabuse didn’t quite manage to top this week’s leaderboard with 36 points, as they were pipped to the post by the final couple Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden, with a score of 38 including two 10s for their Tango - the joint highest score of the series so far with Fletcher’s week three Charleston.

Emma Barton and Anton Du Beke also looked strong with 35 points, while Mike Bushell and David James provided the shocks of the evening - James with an unexpected 28 points, and Bushell with 31 including a nine from Mabuse.

Viewers were also treated to a return visit from former celebrity contestant Jason Donovan, who read out tonight’s terms and conditions of voting at the start of the show.

Strictly Come Dancing returns with the results show on Sunday at 7.15pm on BBC One.
