The Prodigy pay tribute to Keith Flint on anniversary of his death: Your light blazes strong

The Prodigy have said they miss Keith Flint every day, as they paid tribute to the late singer on the anniversary of his death.

The Firestarter star is believed to have taken his own life at the age of 49 on March 4 2019.

Bandmates Liam Howlett and Maxim marked his memory on the band’s official Instagram account, writing: “One year has gone by since you left us , we miss you everyday man , your light blazes strong ,
You will always be here with us coz as you know - WE LIVE FOREVER ..!
Stay Punk brother, Forever in our hearts Liam and Maxim x”

Flint was found dead at his home in the Essex hamlet of North End.

An inquest confirmed unspecified amounts of cocaine, codeine and alcohol were present in his system at the time of his death. A coroner said that an open conclusion had been recorded for the cause of death, because there was not sufficient evidence to rule the death as suicide.

Following Flint’s death many stories of his kindness and generosity emerged and thousands of fans and well-wishers lined the streets of Braintree in Essex for his funeral.

The band cancelled all forthcoming shows in the wake of Flint’s death. The Prodigy had only recently released their seventh studio album, No Tourists, in November last year, and had embarked on a world tour.

Flint, initially one of the band’s two dancers when they first formed in 1990, later became integral to their success, performing vocals on number one singles Firestarter and Breathe.
