Keene State's Jeff Hunter repeats as LEC Player of the Week

Nov. 28—PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Keene State senior and co-captain Jeff Hunter was honored by the Little East Conference as its men's basketball Player of the Week for the second week in a row, the league announced Monday.

Prior to the Thanksgiving holiday, Hunter poured in 20 points with 11 rebounds, seven blocks, four steals, and three assists in a 113-75 win over Springfield College on Nov. 22. Against the Pride, he shot 8-for-10 from the floor and 4-of-6 from the line. He then added 27 points on 13-of-14 shooting with 10 rebounds, three blocks, and two steals in a 102-90 win over MIT on Saturday. He did not commit a foul in either contest.

For the year, Hunter is averaging 22 points, 12.2 rebounds, 3.6 blocks, and two steals per game while shooting 75 percent from the floor. He has double-doubles in his last four games and is 32 points away from reaching 1,000 for his career.

The Owls (6-0) look to maintain their perfect start to the season when they host Albertus Magnus on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
