In a makeup game of a postponed matchup originally scheduled for Dec. 21, South Dakota State waltzed into Kansas City and snapped the Roos’ longest winning streak of the season.

The teams traded leads eight times in the final minutes. but Shemarri Allen’s jumper as time expired was no good and the Jackrabbits held on. Allen finished with 23 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Allen also hit a go-ahead three-point shot to make the score 66-65 with just over 35 seconds left.

The two teams were scheduled to play Dec. 21 before a winter stormed derailed those plans. Kansas City will be back in action at 7 p.m. Saturday at home against Oral Roberts, which improved to 20-4 (11-0 Summit League) on Monday.
