Kayshon Boutte makes ESPN’s list of prospects to know for the 2023 NFL Draft

Junior wide receiver Kayshon Boutte was listed by ESPN as LSU’s prospect to know for the 2023 NFL Draft.

In six games last season, Boutte reeled in 38 receptions for 509 yards and nine touchdowns with his longest touchdown being a 64-yard reception. His most significant game of the year was in the season opener against UCLA where Boutte had nine receptions for 148 yards and three touchdowns. His season was cut short after suffering an ankle injury against Kentucky.

Boutte is widely regarded as one of the best wideouts in the country when he is healthy, as you will see in the quote from ESPN, and he is one of the most prominent leaders on the Tigers’ football team, which is evident from the fact that he is garnering the famed No. 7 this fall.

Boutte edges out prospects such as defensive ends Ali Gaye and BJ Ojulari, with one area scout telling us Boutte is his WR1 entering the season. With a more pro-style offense under new coach Brian Kelly, Boutte (6-foot, 205 pounds) has the all-around traits to be a first-round pick. – ESPN.com

There are a lot of questions surrounding the team this year as it is the first season under new coach Brian Kelly. One thing that isn’t a question is who the No. 1 receiver is.
