The annual Art in Kayenta festival in Ivins is back for 2023, and in this, the 23st iteration of the event, organizers say they are planning two days of sculpture, painting, ceramics, jewelry, furniture and more.

Regional and national artists are scheduled to showcase their works during the festival, which is slated for President's Day weekend on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 18-19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

The festival is set to include a busy slate of entertainment to go with all the art, including live music and food vendors, all in and around the stores and art galleries at the Kayenta Art Village at 800 Coyote Gulch Court in Ivins.

The festival features many local artists, including St. George-area practitioners who work on everything from jewelry to ceramics to wood and metal.

The February festival is a great way for locals to get more familiar with local artists and with the art village, which has expanded in recent years.

"Our February show is more relaxed and personal, giving patrons more opportunity to interact with these talented individuals," said Cherie Stoddard, who owns the Gallery 873 gallery inside the village.

Featured performers on Saturday include Joe Rice, Kaeli Chaei, and Mountain Meadow Music, with Mark Boggs, Stillhouse Road, and River House showcased on Sunday. Performances begin at 120:30am.
