Kansas City things to do: ‘Man of La Mancha’ with a twist, Oktoberfest, more festivals

MTH Theater’s unique production of “Man of La Mancha” will open this weekend at the Main Stage Theater in Crown Center.

The collaboration with Ensemble Iberica will star classical guitarist Nilko Andreas in the role of Don Quixote. He will play guitar through most of the show, and the orchestrations have been reimagined for a flamenco aesthetic.

“Man of La Mancha” will open at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 6 and will run through Oct. 23. Tickets ($41-$65) and more information at musictheaterheritage.com.
