Kansas City area restaurant inspections: Bawarchi Biryanis, Fairway Creamery, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links to the reports are not available).

Bawarchi Biryanis, 7284 W. 121st St., Overland Park, had 16 priority violations during a Sept. 28 joint inspection.

Fairway Creamery, 5938 Mission Road, Mission, had 11 priority violations during a Sept. 29 routine inspection.

Price Chopper, 660 E. Main St., Gardner, had 10 priority violations during a Sept. 29 routine inspection.

MeMa’s Old-Fashioned Bakery, 7634 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kansas, had nine priority violations during a Sept. 27 routine inspection.

Ding Tea, 12236 W. 95th St., Lenexa, had seven priority violations during an Oct. 3 inspection following a complaint.

KC Smoke Burgers, 3800 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kansas, had seven priority violations during a Sept. 28 routine inspection.

Iron Wok, 6411 N.W. 72nd St., had 11 critical violations during a Sept. 26 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during an Oct. 3 follow-up inspection.

The Sandbox at PowerPlay, 509 N.W. Barry Road, had nine critical violations during a Sept. 30 routine inspection.

Omo Japanese Ramen & Sushi, 8430 Ward Parkway, had seven critical violations during a Sept. 30 routine inspection.
