Power couple Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have confirmed the unusual name they chose for their second child, who was born last year.

Appearing via video link on The Ellen DeGeneres Show during the January 18 episode, the popstar-turned-actor confirmed they named him Phineas and opened up publicly for the first time about their new bundle of joy.

"He's awesome and so cute. Nobody's sleeping. But we're thrilled," the former *NSYNC star said.

"We're thrilled and couldn't be happier. Very grateful."

Timberlake also shared that he and Biel kept the pregnancy a "secret" from everyone but their nearest and dearest, before DeGeneres revealed that she was one of the lucky few who they told.

"I think we were FaceTiming and you said, 'Hey, you want to know a secret?' and then Jessica walked in and you put your hand on her stomach," recalled the host.

"You were like, 'I'm having another baby!'"

DeGeneres also quizzed Timberlake on what it's like being a dad-of-two, with him and his wife already being parents to four-year-old Silas.

"We don't see each other anymore," he joked. "It's a lot of fun. I guess the saying goes go from a zone defence to a man-to-man really quickly. It's great.

"Silas is super excited. Right now he's very much liking it. Phin can't walk yet or chase him down, so we'll see what happens."

The baby news was actually revealed back in September when Timberlake's former *NSYNC bandmate Lance Bass let it slip during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
