Junior Hockey: Early lead boosts Mason City past Willmar

Oct. 16—WILLMAR — The Mason City Toros got a pair of goals from Carter Newpower to beat the Willmar WarHawks in an NA3HL game at the Willmar Civic Center Arena.

Willmar got its goal at 9:52 of the third period. Trailing 5-0, Anthony Foster scored his first goal as a WarHawk. It was short-handed. Foster is a forward from Warroad.

The teams conclude their two-game series at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Mason City Arena.
