JSU men: Gamecocks get blitzed in Utah

Dec. 9—After a tough five-game road swing, Jacksonville State's men's basketball team will get to play at home Wednesday.

The Gamecocks won two of the five road games, including Thursday night's 99-58 loss at Utah.

Utah scored the first 19 points until JSU got a 3-pointer from Monzy Jackson with 14:24 to play in the first half. The Utes never led by fewer than 10 points the rest of the way.

Utah (8-2, 2-0 Pac-12) led by 49 with 2:50 to go in the game, but JSU (4-5) closed with an 8-0 run, not allowing the Utes to hit triple-digits.

It should get easier from here, as Reinhardt of the NAIA will visit Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
