It’s been a while since we saw Jordan Fuller on the field for the Rams. He suffered a hamstring injury in Week 4 against the 49ers and has been sidelined ever since. Initially, he was only expected to miss 2-4 weeks, but it’s been eight weeks since he strained his hamstring, so he’s been out far longer than anticipated.

He’s not yet ready to return, either.

“To my knowledge, he’s not a candidate for this coming week,” Sean McVay said Monday.

Nick Scott and Taylor Rapp have remained the starters at safety with Jordan Fuller out, though Fuller had already been demoted from his starting role when the season began. Terrell Burgess was cut a few weeks ago so that’s opened the door for Russ Yeast to play a bit more, too.

On a more positive front, center Brian Allen could potentially return from his thumb injury this week after missing the last two games.

“You might have a chance for Brian Allen, but other than that, there’s not anybody that particularly comes to mind for me,” McVay said of who could return this week.

The Rams are in rough shape injury-wise and have been for much of the season. They need as much help as they can get along the offensive line, so Allen’s return will be a welcome one, but they may not rush Fuller back, being a soft-tissue injury.
