Sep. 24—OXFORD — Ole Miss junior wide receiver John Rhys Plumlee has signed a name, image and likeness (NIL) deal with the Craddock Oil Company/BlueSky, agent Shane Blanton Jr. told The Daily Journal Friday.

Plumlee, who starred at quarterback in Hattiesburg at Oak Grove High School, moved to wide receiver full time in the offseason. He has two receptions for 16 yards this season and has seen time at quarterback at the end of games, rushing for 76 yards on six carries with one completed pass for six yards.

As a freshman in 2019, Plumlee threw for 910 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 1,023 yards and 12 touchdowns.

NIL legislation was passed over the summer and allows student-athletes to profit off of their likeness.
