JLS’ JB Gill have confirmed The X Factor boyband are in talks to reunite to mark the 10th anniversary of their debut album.

Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Oritse Williams and Gill rose to fame after appearing on the ITV talent show in 2008 and went their separate ways in 2013. Last year they were united in support of Williams, 33, after he was cleared of rape.

Gill told The Sun Online: “This year is a big year for us: our 10 year anniversary [since JLS's debut album].

“We are all very much in touch, we’re still brothers. We met up recently, a few weeks back, and we’ve always said when the time’s right we could do something. So a reunion... never say never.”

The singer-turned-farmer said of Williams: “He is doing well. All things considered. He is trying to put the past behind him and moving forward.

Former JLS singer Oritse Williams arrives at Wolverhampton Crown Court where he is accused of rape. Williams, 32, from Croydon, south London, denies raping the woman in a hotel room following a solo concert in December 2016.

“We are family and always support him. We are there for him always."

Williams was cleared of rape in May 2019 following an accusation made by a woman he met after a performance in a Wolverhampton nightclub back in December 2016.

Speaking last September Williams said: “It’s been horrific. I haven’t been able to work for three years. I’ve had this accusation hanging over my head every single day from the time I wake up in the morning, to the time I go to sleep at night. It’s been tormenting me.”

JLS became a successful boyband after finishing second to X Factor winner Alexandra Burke in 2008. They had five Number One singles in the UK charts including Everybody In Love, The Club Is Alive and She Makes Me Wanna. They released their debut album JLS in 2010.

Since they split in 2013 Gill, 33, has set up a farm in Kent where he lives with his wife, Chloe son Ace and daughter, Chiara. He presents CBBC show Down On The Farm.

Williams pursued a solo career in music and is a part time carer for his mother, who has multiple sclerosis. Just days after he was cleared of rape last year a fire broke out at his £3 million mansion in Croydon, prompting police to launch an investigation into a suspected arson attack.

Humes, 34, has become a TV presenter and is married to former Saturdays singer-turned-TV-presenter Rochelle Humes with whom he shares two daughters.

Merrygold, 31, competed in Strictly Come Dancing in 2017. He and his partner recently announced they are expecting their second child together.
