Jets add two offensive linemen, cut one offensive and one defensive lineman

In light of the Mekhi Becton injury, the Jets made a few roster moves to help with their offensive line depth.

The Jets signed veteran offensive lineman Caleb Benenoch and undrafted rookie Chris Glaser. The team released offensive tackle Parker Ferguson and defensive lineman Hamilcar Rashed Jr.

We touched on Benenoch yesterday. He’s been in the league since 2016, originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, starting all 16 games in 2018. He also started one game last season for the New Orleans Saints. Benenoch has experience at guard and tackle.

Glaser is an undrafted rookie out of Virginia who was in minicamp for the Kansas City Chiefs. Glaser (6’4″, 300 pounds) started all 12 games at guard last season for the Cavaliers and started 44 games in his career.

Ferguson was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Air Force by the Jets in 2021 but spent the season on injured reserve. Rashed was also an undrafted free agent signing by the Jets in 2021 out of Oregon State, spending most of the season on the practice squad.
