Jessica Simpson mom-shamed for letting daughter Maxi, 7, dye her hair: 'So upsetting! She's a little girl'

A lot of people have opinions about the way Jessica Simpson raises her kids.

The singer turned fashion mogul posted some cute photos of her eldest child, daughter Maxi Drew, after a trip to the celeb-loved Nine Zero One salon in West Hollywood. Mom explained the colorfully dyed ends — in various purple hues — were inspired by Disney’s The Descendants.

In the TV movie series about Disney’s most infamous villains as teens, the lead character Maleficent “Mal,” played by Dove Cameron, has purple locks. And that remains unchanged in Descendants 3, which premieres Aug. 2.

While the official Disney Descendants handle loved Simpson’s post — “Looking good” was the comment with some purple emojis — there were haters who couldn’t resist telling Simpson that they think a 7-year-old shouldn’t be allowed to color her hair.

“So upsetting! She’s a little girl,” was one comment that elicited a lot of responses defending Simpson.

Another was, “So young it’s a shame”

Some others were: “Not sure about this?”

“Isn’t she too young to have her hair dyed?”

“Why start ruining her hair so young”

“Please don’t make her grow up too fast!”

Nine Zero One co-owner Riawna Capri, a Simpson favorite, who was featured in the photos offered a positive comment amid the negativity.

“She was a natural, in her natural habitat,” Capri wrote. I think we will be seeing her more than her momma.”

Haters shouldn’t kid themselves though — this is all probably no big deal to Simpson. She deals with the parent police regularly.

In April, she was shamed after sharing the first photo of her new addition, Birdie. That’s because one of the photos showed the baby sleeping on her stomach rather than her back.

And last year, she was berated last year for letting her son, Ace, 6, play in the pool with a broken bone. However, it stems back years, including when her husband, Eric Johnson, tossed Ace in the pool in 2014. Or the times she let Maxi wear makeup.

Clearly none of this has made her stop sharing photos of her kids though. Shamers, take note.
