Well, that didn't last long.

The cross-series romance between Angelina Pivarnick of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” and Luis “Potro” Caballero of the Mexican version of “Jersey Shore,” which is called “Acapulco Shore,” ended with a thud on the Thursday, June 30, episode of “JSFV.”

Caballero opted out of the relationship via text after a Cancun getaway together.

“Toxic,” Caballero said. “I don't want that around me.”

“Luis is very dramatic,” Angelina said. “He's also a Cancer and I'm a Cancer. It’s like (an explosion).”

Hopefully, for their sake, the tryst helped the ratings of the new MTV series “All Star Shore,” which both star on. It's on Paramount Plus.

Angelina texted Luis from bed in her new Freehold Township home. She and husband Chris Larangeira moved in, and he apparently left soon after, following a fight. Now, she lives there alone with her dogs and cats. He filed for divorce in Monmouth County on Jan. 20, a court clerk confirmed to the USA Today Network New Jersey.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino drove down from his Holmdel home to check on her. She hears the clock ticking.

Or is that the sound of her dog walking on the home's hardwood floors?

“It’s my body versus Father Time,” Angelina, 36, said. “I might never have a child, which sucks.”

The majority of the show's cast have children. There aren't a lot of animals on “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” but Mike and Lauren Sorrentino's Golden retriever Mosey became the focus of a storyline on Thursday for a sad reason.

“The doc is explaining to us that they have found some cancer in Mosey,” Mike said. “We're definitely not OK. Obviously, you definitely don't want a call from a doctor saying that your dog is dying, but…”

Mike and Lauren took Mosey to Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls. He has one to three months to live, they said, and three to six months if chemotherapy treatments are administered.

“Mosey has gone through everything with me. He's been my protector through the whole court, legal odyssey,” said Lauren, referring to Mike's tax evasion conviction. “When Mike was away for eight months, he slept on Mike's side of the bed. So Mosey is a very, very important part of our family.”

Mosey has his own Instagram account with more than 70,000 followers. The most recent post is from five weeks ago, with Mosey looking out over the Sorrentinos' backyard.

“Living my best life,” reads the caption, with a paw print emoji.

“Jersey Shore Family Vacation” airs 8 p.m. Thursdays on MTV.
