No one does a throwback quite like Jennifer Lopez. PERIODT. I mean, you cannot tell the difference between which post is old and which is new – she just doesn't age! But with her recent series of posts, Jen makes her new and upcoming era quite clear with a 2002 hair transformation comparison... She's only gone and recreated her iconic 'This Is Me... Then' album cover look.

OK, OK, just as Steve once said, "it's happening!": we are soon to receive a new J-Lo album named 'This Is Me... Now'. See what she did there? And as stated above, for this, she's only gone and released a dramatic before and after Instagram video reel.

In the throwback recreation clip, Jen is rocking a short Y2K-inspired flicky bob haircut, topped off with a knitted beanie, aka a look that was very on-trend at that time. And then in the blink of an eye, with some handy graphics and the power of editing, she transforms into her current self with XXL brunette blown-out extensions.

Jen's hairstylist for the occasion, Andrew Fitzsimons – whose clientele also includes Khloé Kardashian and Megan Fox – took to his own IG feed to reshare the star's original post, also including details of his work.

In the lengthy caption, Andrew writes: "What an honor to recreate the ICONIC @jlo ‘This Is Me… Then’ album cover as well as hair legend Oribe Canales’s work, someone I have looked up to since I started doing hair over two decades ago".

"Hair by me using @andrewfitzsimonshair Body Volume Blowdry Spray and Après Sexe Texture Spray for 2000’s ‘Then’ JLo and Prism Shine Softening Crème and Invisible Shine Spray for NOW JLo 🧡", he continues.

Peep the specific product details... It's as if Christmas has come early!

As shared, for Jen's 2002 look, Andrew used the Body Volume Dry Hold Spray for Fine Hair from his namesake brand, as well as the APRES SEXE Texture Spray for Hair.

And as for today's locks, Andrew worked his Prism Shine Softening Crème into the lengths, though, unfortunately, this product is yet to be made available in the UK *hint hint, Andrew*. To top off the look, Andrew also added some of his Invisible Shine Spray into Jennifer's hair.

IDK about you, but I'm equal parts excited for the new album and equal parts excited to recreate both hair looks.

Bring on 2023.
