Jeff Bezos throws celebrity-packed party at his NYC apartment 8 months after finalizing divorce

Jeff Bezos' reputation took a hit early this year, but it appears he's still in good graces with plenty of celebrities.

The Amazon CEO's 25-year marriage crashed and burned in January 2019 after the world learned of his ongoing affair with a woman named Lauren Sanchez. Next week will mark 8 months since he and his ex-wife, MacKenzie Tuttle, finalized their divorce, and the world's wealthiest man is partying hard.

TMZ reports that Bezos hosted a glitzy party inside his New York City home on Wednesday to honor the secret wedding of fashion designer Misha Nonoo, who is one of Meghan Markle's closest friends. Among the guests were Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner, plus Diane von Furstenberg and powerhouse TV producer Mark Burnett.

The Duchess of Sussex didn't fly across the ocean for Bezos' soiree, but she was in attendance at Nonoo's actual wedding in September, as were Ivanka Trump, Katy Perry, James Corden, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

Also at the party was Sanchez, who infamously separated from her own husband amid the affair. They divorced in April 2019.

Sanchez has three children and Bezos has four. The details of their respective custody arrangements are not known. Bezos has occasionally been spotted out in public with his older children.

Bezos' highly-publicized split was resolved relatively quickly, an impressive feat given the extreme amount of wealth on the table: The estate is worth an estimated $137 billion.

Over the summer, Bezos lived it up what Business Insider called a "wild summer of yacht-hopping and jetting off to Wimbledon with his girlfriend."
