Jeep event, Downtown Alliance Star contest on Saturday

ALLIANCE – Alliance-area residents cancelebrate the start of Halloween season at the 2nd annual Duck Duck Downtown Jeep Crawl and Ghostwalk.

The event will run 4 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday along East Main Street in Alliance. Food vendors and food trucks will be on hand, along with live painters.

Registration is necessary to join the Jeep decorating contest, RTI ramp competition, Downtown Star Performance Competition and the Trunk or Treat. Register for the Downtown Star competition by emailing mystikchrystal@hotmail.com. Age groups for the contest are ages 6 to 10 for Young Rising Star; 11 to 17 for Teen Rising Star; and ages 18 and older for Adult Star.

Music will be taking place in three locations Saturday – The Caboose, Pocket Change Truck and on the stage inside Club 253. Here’s the schedule:

Caboose Stage:

4 p.m. to 5 p.m. – The Full Flavor

5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. – Naturally Blue and Spoon Man

8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. – Gemini Rose

Pocket Change Truck Stage:

4 p.m. to 5 p.m. – Laura Brabson

5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. – Cosmix

6 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Downtown Star singing competition, featuring Joclyn Austin.
