Crashes sometimes happen while filming a show like the Grand Tour, as Richard Hammond has learned all too many times already. While the latest crash is not quite as harrowing as what Hammond suffered in the Rimac Concept One back in season 2, the Top Gear successor series did still apparently have a crash while filming its upcoming fifth season.

This crash apparently involved James May and a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. According to a report from the Sun, May was racing through a tunnel in Norway when he braked too late at 75 MPH and "jackknifed" into the wall. May apparently broke a rib in the crash and had to be checked for a head injury, but he was cleared to return to filming just "a day or so" later.

Further digging by Motor 1 shows that Jeremy Clarkson had posted the Evo reportedly involved to Instagram back in March, which lines up with the timeline of a Reddit post that noted only Clarkson and Richard Hammond were around when the user saw the two filming in Norway at around the same time. Photos from that encounter include the Subaru Clarkson posted and an Audi possibly driven by Hammond in the same test, but not the Evo that had reportedly crashed.

If past seasons of both the Grand Tour and Top Gear are any indication, the crash will be a major part of the next season of the show. We'll know more when it debuts, which the show historically does between November and January.
