Jaguars TE James O'Shaughnessy makes return vs. Falcons
Until Sunday, Jaguars tight end James O'Shaughnessy had not played in a game since Week 2 against the Denver Broncos.
Shaughnessy made his first game appearance since coming off the injured reserve list with a high ankle sprain.
He caught three of five targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons at TIAA Bank Field.
Getting O'Shaughnessy back was essential because the Jaguars took another injury hit at the position against the Falcons. Tight end Dan Arnold suffered a knee injury after making his only catch for nine yards on the third play in the second quarter. He was fighting to gain extra yardage on the play against two Falcons defenders when the injury occurred.
Arnold is the Jaguars' third-leading receiver with 28 receptions for 324 yards. However, last week against San Francisco, Arnold did not have a catch or was targeted.

Rookie tight end Luke Farrell was among the Jaguars' players on the inactive list against the Falcons. That list also included cornerback Shaquill Griffin; linebacker Dakota Allen; offensive lineman KC McDermott; tight end Jacob Hollister and defensive end/outside linebacker Jordan Smith.
Center Brandon Linder also returned to the starting lineup after coming off injured reserve after suffering a knee and MCL sprain during Week 5 against Tennessee.
Losing season clinched
With Sunday's loss to the Falcons, the Jaguars clinched a losing season for the 10 time in 11 season, and 12 of the last 14 seasons. The Jaguars have had just one winning season since 2007 that occurred in 2017.
Lawson starts in place of Griffin
Cornerback Nevin Lawson started in place of Griffin and finished as the Jaguars' third-leading tackler with six. He also had one pass breakup.
Lawrence rushes for career-high
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed 23-of-42 passes for 228 yards and one TD, a 7-yard touchdown to WR Tavon Austin in the third quarter. Lawrence also rushed five times for a career-high 39 yards. Through 11 games this season, Lawrence is 231-of-398 passing for 2,369 yards and nine touchdown. He has rushed 45 times for 231 yards (5.1 yards per carry) this season.
Robinson tops 100 scrimmage yards again
Running back James Robinson has 115 scrimmage yards (86 rushing and 29 receiving), marking his 11th career game with at least 100 scrimmage yards. In 24 career games, Robinson has totaled 2,266 scrimmage yards, the second-most of any Jaguars player through their first 24 career games.
Campbell gets first pick
Cornerback Tyson Campbell posted the first interception of his career when he picked off Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan with 19 seconds remaining in the first half. Campbell finished the game with three tackles, three passes defensed and one INT. He is the fourth Jaguars rookie in the last 20 years to record at least three passes defensed and one INT in a single game, joining CBs CJ Henderson (2020) and Jalen Ramsey
(2016, twice) and S Marlon McCree (2002).
Salute to Service
The Jaguars celebrated their annual Salute to Service game Sunday against the Falcons. The game represented a culmination of a month-long effort to honor and support the nation's uniformed service members and their families around Northeast Florida. Last week, the Jaguars players, coaching staff, and family members joined to assemble and ship hundreds of care packages to military service members deployed overseas for the upcoming holidays. Also, the official Salute to Service logo was on helmet decals, cleats, towels, sideline caps, and other equipment during Sunday's game at TIAA Bank Field.
