The Jacksonville Jaguars decided to make one roster move before their second preseason game, which will be against the Cleveland Browns. The team signed defensive lineman Auzoyah Alufoha to the roster and waived/injured defensive lineman Jeremiah Ledbetter.

The decision came after coach Doug Pederson told the media that Ledbetter would be missing time on the field after sustaining an injury in practice. That said, with roster cuts coming up on Tuesday, they decided to replace him with Alufohai.

Alufohai, 25, is entering his third season in the NFL. He entered the league as an undrafted player out of West Georgia with the Houston Texans in 2020. After his time with the Texans, he was briefly on the Chicago Bears’ practice squad. Then in November of last season, he joined Green Bay’s practice squad before returning to the Bears’ practice squad in December. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Bears after last season, but they waived him a week ago.

Before attending West Georgia, Alufohai spent three seasons at Kennesaw State University. However, in his senior season, he was able to garner 31 total tackles with the Wolves before entering the league.
