Jack Whitehall was alarmed to learn that as he filmed his Christmas show at the London Palladium alongside his 79-year-old father Michael, two people had to be removed for having sex.
The Bad Education star, 31, was evidently taken aback at learning of the explicit antics as he shared what he had been told with his Twitter followers yesterday.
He wrote: "OH MY GOD. I have just been informed that during the recording of my Christmas show with my father at The London Palladium a couple were kicked out of the theatre for having sex during the show...
“Who gets horny watching my dad tell anecdotes about Elaine Stritch!?"
Another of the Whitehalls' recent collaborations didn't have quite such a happy ending after the father and son appeared on Who Do You Think You Are?.
The episode aired on the BBC over the summer and viewers saw the Whitehalls discover some of their ancestors weren't the most upstanding members of society at the time.
One relative was found to be a philanderer who gave his wife syphilis and ended up in an asylum while another opposed the Chartist movement to bring rights to the working class.
The younger Whitehall made an appearance on The Graham Norton Show on Friday where he branded his family "scumbags" after uncovering the startling revelations about the relatives on the genealogy show.
“My whole family was just a long line of scumbags as far as the eye can stretch,” Whitehall told Norton.
