It's an understatement to stay Marshall had no answer for Trayce Jackson-Davis near the basket.

The IU junior seemed to dunk the ball on every other possession Saturday night against the visiting Thundering Herd.

Jackson-Davis finished with 43 points — the most by any college player at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall — in the Hoosiers' 90-79 victory, hitting 18-of-24 shots from the field and 7-of-9 free throws. He also had 5 blocked shots.

The last IU player to score 40+ in a game was Alan Henderson in 1994.

Jackson-Davis passed his previous career high of 34 points midway through the second half. His 35th point came at the 11:50 mark as the Hoosiers led 65-57.
