The Washington Wizards and Denver Nuggets have reportedly finalized a four-player trade that may only create minor ripples in the NBA universe. But the move is a significant one for new Nuggets guard Ish Smith.

If and when he does suit up for Denver this season, it will be the 13th different NBA team Smith, 33, has played for in his career -- which would break the record he currently shares with journeymen Joe Smith, Jim Jackson, Tony Massenburg and Chucky Brown.

An undrafted point guard out of Wake Forest, Smith has previously played for the Houston Rockets, Memphis Grizzlies, Golden State Warriors, Orlando Magic, Milwaukee Bucks, Suns, Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans, Detroit Pistons, Washington Wizards and Charlotte Hornets over his 12-year career.

Ish Smith has averaged 7.6 points and 3.9 rebounds per game over his 12 seasons in the NBA.
