The celebrity hidden inside the Octopus costume on the ITV singing show dropped a hint they had a million pound signing deal linked to Jason Donovan before their performance on Saturday night’s show.
Octopus performed Bobby Darin’s 50s hit Splish Splash for judges Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Ken Jeong and Davina McCall after a video clip which linked them to former Neighbours star Jason Donovan.
Ora told her: “My gut is telling me it’s Kylie. Look if you are in there - I love you so much!”
But Ross said Octopus was too short to be the famously pint-sized popstar and joked it would have to be Kylie standing on her sister Dannii’s shoulders. He eventually guessed it was This Morning host Holly Willoughby.
Kylie Minogue famously starred in Australian soap Neighbours with Jason Donovan and recorded hit duet Especially For You with him.
Other clues Octopus teased were a connection to The Apprentice, being discovered on a cruise ship and using an accent coach to prepare for the show.
Davina McCall guessed American model and Celebrity Apprentice contestant Tyra Banks and Ken Jeong guessed model Heidi Klum.
Octopus claimed the judges were wrong - but admitted they had come close to guessing her identity.
And viewers were sure that she was either Kylie or her sister Dannii.
Another wrote: “The Octopus has got to be Kylie Minogue or Danni Minogue.”
Another posted on Twitter: “It CANT be Kylie... can it?! #TheMaskedSinger”

Last week saw Justin Hawkins from The Darkness revealed to be the celebrity inside Chameleon - leaving Rita Ora hot under the collar.
This week she confessed: “I’m still really heartbroken from the last episode. You can just say it - I fancied a chameleon. I was just really distracted. So I’m going to try and focus a little bit.”
The first episode saw EastEnders icon Patsy Palmer unveiled as the Butterfly after clues were given about her relocation to Malibu, her DJ career and her character Bianca Jackson's big wedding day.
The second instalment saw another famous face unmasked as former Home Secretary Alan Johnson. He'd been masquerading as Pharaoh with clues given about his musical past and time spent working for the Post Office.
The Masked Singer continues weekly on ITV, Saturday nights.
