Injured child led Blue Ash officer to hotel room with dead woman inside

An 8-year-old boy with a severe leg injury led police to a hotel where a woman was found dead with a gunshot wound on Tuesday, according to Blue Ash Police.

Around midnight, an officer discovered an 8-year-old boy walking along Williamson Road with a severe leg injury. The officer used a tourniquet to stop the bleeding on the child's leg.

The child told police he was at the Sonesta ES Suites in Blue Ash when someone pushed him out of a window, according to a police report.

Officers located the hotel room and found a woman inside the bathtub with a gunshot wound.

Emergency personnel attempted to revive the woman, but she was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the police report.

The Blue Ash Police Department is still investigating the woman's death and the child's injury.
