Cam Heyward’s name popped up on the Steelers injury report on Friday, not with an injury but an illness — one that seems to be going around.
Zach Banner returned to practice yesterday after being sick for two days, but Heyward and fellow defensive lineman Isaiahh Loudermilk did not participate.
According to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Ray Fittipaldo, newly-signed defensive tackle Montravius Adams said Heyward took his linemen out for dinner and treatment after practice.
The defensive line is diminished, even with a healthy Heyward and Loudermilk. If these two don’t play, Mike Tomlin and crew will have a nightmare of shuffling around to do in an attempt to remain competitive versus Baltimore.
The Ravens have 16 players listed on their latest injury report. It’s been like that all season for Baltimore and they’re 8-3.
During his interview after practice today, Montravius Adams mentioned how Cam Heyward took the defensive linemen off site to eat a meal and get some treatment together. Heyward and Isaiahh Loudermilk missed practice today with illnesses so it's something to keep an eye on.
