The Indiana women’s basketball’s home game against Illinois on Thursday has been postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests within the Fighting Illini program.

This is the third straight game for the AP No. 6 ranked Hoosiers that’s been postponed. A prior home game against Michigan State and a road game at Iowa were called off due to COVID issues within their own program. The Hoosiers were cleared to play this week, but Illinois’ COVID problems caused the game to be postponed.

If IU and Illinois are unable to reschedule the game, it would be a no contest for both teams. Per IU’s release, ticket holders for the game will receive further information from the ticket office.

Indiana will take on No. 7 Michigan in Ann Arbor on Monday, more than two weeks after IU’s last game at Purdue on Jan. 16.

Indiana’s road game at Illinois, originally scheduled for Feb. 10, has also been moved up a day to Feb. 9.
