How Hurricane Ian is impacting Marion County high school football schedule for Week 6

Most Week 6 high school football games across Marion County have been changed as Hurricane Ian approaches Florida. Marion County Athletic Director Donnie Tucker said Tuesday he believes all Friday activities will be canceled, but the decision will not be made until later in the week.

Below are updates on the game originally scheduled for Friday night. For some games, schools and athletic directors still will have decisions to make on whether to play and when. FHSAA has granted high school teams permission to practice on Sunday, Oct. 2, as a precaution to possible cancelations; but games cannot be played on that day.
