Protests are happening across the state, with both sides arguing that this is a matter of life or death.

The law change is set to take effect on Friday unless a judge decides to issue a temporary hold.

Those against the new law said it violates Floridians’ right to privacy. Florida’s Constitution guarantees a person’s right to be free from government intrusion.

They also argue that it doesn’t make exceptions for rape, incest and potentially deadly birth anomalies.

Anti-abortion supporters want the judge to throw the lawsuit out, saying that the Florida Constitution doesn’t apply to abortion, so that means there is no right to sue.

Final arguments in the lawsuit are set for Thursday when the judge will make his ruling.
