Hulk Hogan has abandoned his private jet in Iceland after it was severely damaged during a difficult landing.
The 66-year-old actor and reality star had lucky escape when the tyres exploded and the brakes melted on his aeroplane in what he called a “hard landing”.
Hogan shared a video on his Facebook page showing the damaged jet on the runway, saying: “We just had a really hard landing, blew out the tyres and brakes have melted. That thing’s not going anywhere.”
The Thunder In Paradise star added: “[It was] quite an experience landing in and all that crazy stuff happening.”
The retired professional wrestler - whose real name is Terry Bollea - was on his way to the Crown Jewel wrestling event in Saudi Arabia with fellow WWE star Jimmy Hart.
Hogan revealed that a friend had offered to let them use their plane to continue their journey.
He said: “Over there is a buddy of ours, and he’s got the same type of plane we were on, and he’s going to be graceful enough to let us climb on board and continue the journey. We’re gonna make it.”
The buddy is reported to be fellow WWE star Ric Flair, who he is set to lead a rival team against at the Crown Jewel event on Thursday.
Hogan recently revealed he would like a ‘retirement match’ with Vince McMahon at Wrestlemania 36 next year.
He told the LA Times: “If I can get fixed, I pray I can have one more match. I told Vince, ‘When I get through this back surgery, I’m going to get in the best shape of my life and we’re going to talk about me having one last retirement match.’
“I’d love for it to be against Vince... That would be perfect.”
