DOVER - Addy Burris carded a 79 to earn medalist honors, as the Lady Muskies tallied 360, finishing behind first-place North Canton Hoover, which shot 332.

Uniontown Lake was third with 363 and Dover fourth with 387.

Carlie Ellsworth totaled 91 and Abby McCullough and Elise Abrams chipped in 95s for the Lady Muskies.

Makayla Hutchison shot 97 to lead Tri-Valley, which totaled 466. Emily Stanford added 117, Kate Burkhart had 121 and Gwyn Dal Ponte had 131.

Boys Golf

John Glenn boys third at Licking Valley Invite

NEWARK - The John Glenn golf team totaled 329 to place behind first-place Newark Catholic's 321 and runner-up Jonathan Alder's 323.

Noah Dever led John Glenn with a 77, while Braden Rice chipped in an 81, Owen Van Fossen carded an 83 and CJ Dolan added an 88.

Girls Tennis

Dover 4, Cambridge 1

Cambridge High dropped a 4-1 decision to visiting Dover in girls varsity tennis action on Tuesday at Cambridge City Park.

"We showed some improvement again tonight," CHS tennis coach Tim Gibson offered. "But Dover just always is a strong team to deal with. Our girls battled hard tonight, can't fault their effort."

Cambridge's lone win of the night was the duo of Kylie Taylor and Miranda Cole in first doubles action in a three set 7-5 final score. The Lady 'Cats' second doubles team of Selina Garcia and Jaelyn Combs lost in two sets.

Emma Krise first singles, Kilee Jeffery second singles and Reese Antill third singles each suffered losses.

Girls Soccer

Rosecrans 4, John Glenn 1

ZANESVILLE -Host Rosecrans scored three times in the first half to upend John Glenn in girls varsity soccer action on Wednesday.

Chloe Zemba found Caitlyn Wilson at the 33:16 mark of the first half to get Rosecrans on the board, while Sydnee Maxwell made it 2-0 by converting a penalty kick. Maxwell then found Zemba for a goal and a 3-0 halftime lead.

Riley Zamensky scored on a free kick for the Lady Muskies with 15:24 left in the second half, while Maxwell made a second penalty kick with 7:25 left in the match to cap the scoring.

Bean Sowers made three saves for the John Glenn, while Kate Ward had five stops for the Bishops.
