Horse Startled by Alligator Slowly Crossing Louisiana Racetrack
A horse had a startled reaction as a large alligator slowly walked across a racetrack in Vinton, Louisiana on May 19.
Video recorded by Joseph Bryant Allen shows an alligator crossing the Delta Downs Racetrack, as a horse and its handler watched a few feet away. The sighting of the large reptile appears to surprise the horse, as the handler tries to anchor the animal in place.
“The gator just showed up on the track, but it’s in South Louisiana where gators are very common,” Allen told Storyful about the incident.
