Home and Away spoilers follow from Australian episodes, which some UK readers may prefer to avoid.
Home and Away has revisited Susie McAllister's storyline on Australian screens.
Ever since Susie made her getaway, Leah (Ada Nicodemou) has been determined to find some way to track her down and bring her to justice.
John (Shane Withington) has been more hesitant about chasing leads on Susie, finding the various dead ends and false hope too difficult to deal with.
Thursday's triple bill of episodes on Australian screens (May 27) saw John left shellshocked when he received a playful text message which appeared to be from Susie.
The text referred to John as "Mr President" – a reference to his Surf Club election campaign – and revealed that she'd heard he had been busy looking for her.
John replied to the text and considered passing on the information to the police, hoping they could trace Susie using her new phone number.
Summer Bay newcomer Stephen – another previous victim of Susie's who has been working with John and Leah – stepped in and suggested an alternative course of action.
As Stephen has teamed up with Leah and John by hiring a private investigator to find Susie, he suggested passing the relevant detail to the PI first so they could take a more subtle approach and avoid tipping her off.
Could the trio be reunited with Susie and bring her to justice, or will there be another nasty twist to the tale?
Home and Away fans in the UK will see these scenes on Channel 5 in early July.
