This Morning’s Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are as close in real life as they appear to be onscreen, so it’s hardly surprising that they spend their two-month break from the show together. But Schofield might be regretting that after Willoughby’s husband pranked him during their recent holiday.

The ITV veteran met up with “bestie” Willoughby during a family trip abroad, posing for a selfie on his Instagram story. As the pair grinned at the camera though, Willoughby’s partner Dan Baldwin leapt into frame and squirted Piz Buin suncream all over an unsuspecting Schofield.

“That went in my mouth,” Willoughby squealed. “I literally ate that. What is that? Daniel!”

“S**t,” Schofield muttered.

However, karma seemed to catch up to Baldwin later on in their reunion as Schofield took to his Instagram story to show the media producer dipping his feet into a fast-running stream of water.

“Is it good?” Willoughby asks, as Baldwin replies: “Yeah, it’s lovely.”

But as he responds, he leans forward and his sunglasses fall straight into the water and get whisked away by the current.

“No,” he shrieks. “They were expensive!”

Earlier in the week, Willoughby was joined on holiday by fellow This Morning presenter Rochelle Humes, her husband Marvin and their two daughters Alaia-Mai and Valentina.

Posting a sweet picture of her and Humes jumping into the sea hand-in-hand - and their daughters doing the same thing - Willoughby wrote on Instagram: “Who knew... when the girl you love and admire looks after @schofe when you are away and then when we finally get the time together as a family @rochellehumes... our girls fall into sync... it’s like looking in the mirror.”
