'Hitchhiker' Snake Caught in Transport Warehouse

A snake catcher in Sydney was called to a transport warehouse in Prestons after a “hitchhiker” reptile was found on the premises, recently shared Facebook footage shows.

Sean Cade, of Australian Snake Catchers, shared footage to Facebook showing him expertly catching a common tree snake at the Prestons Toll Group distribution warehouse.

“[It] is most likely a hitchhiker as this species is not endemic to the area,” Cade told Storyful.

Though the reptile is known to be non-venomous, Cade said that the staff were “very happy” to see it removed. Credit: Sean Cade via Storyful
