HIRSCHI, WFHS MIX IT UP: Huskies, Coyotes engaged in annual scrimmage Friday night

Hirschi and Wichita Falls High engaged in their annual scrimmage Friday night at Memorial Stadium. Both teams experienced highs and lows.

And while the only way to truly win a scrimmage is to get out of it without significant injuries, which both teams did, Hirschi did outscore Old High, 14-7, in the 12-minute live quarter.

The Huskies and Coyotes now turn their attention to next week's season openers.

Hirschi is traveling to West Texas, meeting Clint in a neutral site game at 7 p.m. Thursday in Andrews.

Meanwhile, the Coyotes engage in the annual crosstown showdown with rival Rider at 7 p.m. Friday at Memorial Stadium.

Several highlights from the scrimmage, including postgame reaction from Hirschi coach Lawrence Johnson and WFHS coach Grant Freeman, can be found below.
