Hilton man killed in motorcycle crash identified

A Hilton man died Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on North Byron Road in Byron, Genesee County, according to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office.

Thomas H. Hankey, 60, was eastbound on North Byron Road with three other motorcyclists, when he crossed the center line and drove off the north side of the road and into a farm fence around 3:40 p.m., deputies said.

Hankey's motorcycle flipped end over end and came to rest on the north shoulder of the road, near 6191 N. Byron Road He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies continue to investigate the crash.
