Highway Patrol investigates Orange County wreck that killed a Virginia man

A Virginia man lost is life following in a vehicle wreck Tuesday in Orange County.

Harry Franklin Huffman, 72, of Lewisburg, Virginia, died in a crash on I-40/85 North near Buckhorn Road.

The crash involving two other motorists happened early Nov. 30. The other motorists sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

According to Highway Patrol investigators, one of the motorists was traveling in the far-left lane of the interstate while attempting to change to a lane already occupied by the second motorist. The lane change caused a chain-of-events in which the second motorist was forced into Huffman's vehicle and Huffman drove off the right side of the highway where he overturned.

No charges had been filed as of Wednesday morning, but the investigation is ongoing.
